Yeah Fall!

Fall on the Cache La Poudre River is finally here.

The Cache La Poudre is moving into fall mode. Leaves are turning color the air is crisp and fly fishing on the Poudre is great. After a bit of a late start BWO’s are out in full force. Dry fly fishing is the ticket. Using a 9ft 5x leader tappered down with 6x tippet is the way to go. The upper canyon is fishing great for non stocked trout, so why not switch it up for a change and catch something that doesn’t fight like a wet turd…Just kidding get out and have fun whatever you do. The Poudre canyon is absolutely gorgeous this time of year

Our guide suggested flies are: J’s BWO Emerger #18, BWO Cripple #18, 97oh #20, Glass-O-Wine #20. For more information on guided fly fishing tours on the Cache La Poudre please contact us at Rocky Mountain Adventures www.shoprma.com
