Trout Fishing the Poudre

Trout Fishing the Poudre:

Trout Fishing on the Poudre River is great right now. Flows are back up and near perfect for this time of the year. Blue Winged Olives are popping and the trout couldn’t be happier. Guided the Canyon this morning and got to do some fishing for myself this afternoon in town. Both venues produced well. Early morning in the Canyon the trout were keyed in on Midges, both surface and sub-surface. At 11am the BWO’s started and it was on. Late afternoon we missed the Olives but found mating Midges dropping on the surface…Now is the perfect time to take our Beginner Anglers’ Class.
