Poudre River Fishing Report

Poudre River Fishing Report:

Poudre River Fishing Report: Got to the river around 9:30. Midges were in full bloom. Lots of surface takes as well as dropper takes. We used a #18 Highlander Midge with an #20 All American as a dropper and quickly pick up 4 brown’s nothing bigger than 10in. Hard to find moving water at these flows, but when we did we found fish. Blue Winged Olives hatching today. Relatively weak hatch starting around 11. Despite the weak hatch trout were definitely keying in on them. All and all it was a great day. Look for the BWO hatch to just get stronger. March and April are the perfect months to take our Beginner Anglers’ Class.
