Fort Collins Fly Fishing Guides Report 10/06/17

Fort Collins Fly Fishing Guides Report 10/06/17.

Our Fort Collins Fly Fishing Guides report better than average fly fishing on the Cache La Poudre River. Flows are low and the trout are spooky, but the BWO’s are loving it. Using a long 9ft 5x leader tapered to 6x tippet is the way to go. Look for the trout to be holding in the deeper runs. BWO’s are popping around noon and go off and on until 3 pm. The in-town fly fishing has been amazing. Especially with the cloudy rainy weather we have been having. Again BWO’s are on the water with some October Caddis. Oh and some Tricos in the early morning…kinda. Our Fort Collins Fly Fishing Guides Recommend using a #18 BWO Cripple, #18 BWO PEC  #18 2nd Chance BWO, #20 97oh and a #20 All American.
