Fort Collins Fishing Report

Fort Collins Fishing Report:

The flows on Poudre are still high for this time of year. Fly Fishing continues to be good. Working the edges seems to produce the most takes. Using a Caddis Dry with an Old Blue as a dropper has been producing the most takes. A weak PMD hatch starts around 1 pm. Baetis are making a presence and the trout seem to be keying in on them when the hatch is strong. Hoppers with a dropper are also working well.

Guide Recommended Flies:Dries #14 Instigator, #14 EC Caddis, #18 BWO Cripple. Nymphs: #16 Old Blue, #18 J’s BWO Emerger
