Fly Fishing the South Fork of the Cache la Poudre
Seems as if there is more water flowing in the South Fork than there is in the main. With today’s front moving in and bringing lots of wind and barely a trickle moving in the Poudre we decided to make a trek up the South Fork. We were not disappointed, it fished great. It seemed as every little pool or hole held 3 or 4 fish. Saw no surface activity but thats probably because there were no bugs breakin the surface. Our Guide Recommeded flies for the S. Fork of the Cache la Poudre River are: J’s BWO Emerger #18 and 97oh #18 camel and olive. Yep thats right those two flies.
