Fishing Report for Fort Collins

Fishing Report for Fort Collins:

The Fly Fishing on the Cache La Poudre has transitioned to late summer mode. Plenty of hoppers along the banks of the Poudre River. A Spotty PMD hatch with Baetis in the mix. Caddis still on the water. Flows are down, look for the trout on the Poudre to be spread out. Using a double nymph rig with split shot and a small indicator is producing the numbers.

Guide Recommended Flies:Dries- #14 Instigator, #14 EC Caddis, #18 BWO Cripple. Nymphs- #18 J’s BWO Emerger, #16 Old Blue, #20 97oh.

Cache La Poudre River Collection: Let us hand tie a dozen flies for you that match the current conditions.
